This moodboard was really interesting to create as the couple were visually impaired, so everything required thinking through much more carefully. Things such as colours of work surfaces and floor tiles couldn’t be too similar as they needed to be able to differentiate between the two, lighting needed to be directional as opposed to spotlights as the clients found spotlights hurt their eyes and resulted in headaches. Cupboard handles needed to run the length of the door as opposed to a single knob so they didn’t need ‘search’ for the handle and could just grab it.

I am still writing a draft for this page, so please check back soon for more explanations and images of this interesting moodboard!
